I’m Shani. Nutrition has become a big part of my life both as a physically active person and as a nutritional consultant. I have learned so much about the power of nutrition and how it can support our health, hinder it and sometimes, with the less nourishing choices, even harm it.
Being active has been my passion for as long as I remember. At one point, I found myself at a tug-of-war between keeping my pep and keeping my demeanour. It became difficult for me to function as my energy was easily drained and exhaustion made me irritable and impatient. In addition, anemia and thyroid issues impaired my vigour, especially since I became a mother. For years I endured until I reached my breaking point, also my turning point.
I delved into the world of nutrition. Searching, reading, learning as much as I could about things I should and shouldn’t eat in order to improve how I felt. But the information I found was overwhelming, I couldn’t tell which was right and best for me. To set things straight, I decided to educate myself the proper way, and went back to school. Changing my food choices and looking into some lifestyle changes made a whole lot of difference in me. I have tried and tested various dietary approaches and found the perfect match to my personality, preferences and lifestyle. My former high-octane self is back and I feel truly happy. I feel privileged to share my knowledge & experience so that you too will have this abundance of energy, which can allow you to be as active as you want to be.
